DevOps Exchange - February
Join us for our first DOXMAN event of the year on Thursday 2nd February, hosted by digital transformation and engineering consultancy Infinity Works, in the heart of Manchester.
Speakers? We have a great line-up for you. For this event, our hosts Infinity Works will take the stage, joined by founder of the Liverpool AWS Meetup group, Paul Gledhill and finally, AWS.
This event will start at 6:30pm, a little earlier than previous events. The usual format will be followed, with 2 x 20 minute talks, then refreshments and then finally our 3rd talk of the evening. This will then be followed by the usual continued discussion about all things DevOps! Doors open at 6:00pm and the talks will start at 6:30pm sharp.

'Being disabled in Tech'
A short 20 minute talk about disability and how it can enhance tech through Isha's personal journey.
Bio: Isha is a non-binary triathlete that has worked in Tech for 5 years in various tech industries but now works as a FullStack Engineer for Infinity Works. Isha's background is mainly DevOps, SRE and AWS technologies. When Isha isn't working, she is usually training for an Ironman and raising money for charity.

"Building Self Service DevOps Platform using Proton and Backstage"
This talk discusses in detail about the advantages of leveraging self service platform for building infrastructure and applications in the kubernetes application and how to optimize to accelerate developer velocity and best practice adoption in an enterprise container platform.
This talk also discuss about how to use AWS Proton for infrastructure templates and backstage for developer templates and discuss the best practices in implementing these tools and techniques.
Bio: I am Srivalsan Mannoor Sudhagar, Cloud Infrastructure Architect with Amazon Web Services and my interest (or specialisation) include Containers, Kubernetes and Data Engineering. A public speaker by passion and has given tech talks in AWS Events, CNCF Meetup in london.
Co-Speaker Bio: I am Vineeth Nair, DevOps Architect at AWS ProServe. I have 18+ years of experience in IT and with various domains such as Telecom, Banking, Insurance, etc. I started with Bash, JavaScript, and PowerShell and now with Python. I love coding and AWS Lambda is one of my favorite services offered by AWS. My passion is to share knowledge hence I am here today. Happy learning
