Senior Software Developer

You will join a rapidly growing technology business that's continuing to invest in its engineering capabilities. They're looking for a Software Developer to help build and develop modern platforms, working on complex technical challenges with plenty of opportunity to influence how things are designed and delivered.

You will work on high impact backend systems that support new products and customers, shaping how the platform will evolve as the business continues on its progression. The role is hands on with real ownership, from designing, coding and seeing your work deployed and operating at scale.

The work you’ll do spans backend development, APIs and scalable services, alongside solving complex challenges involving performance, reliability and system design. You'll work with modern cloud native architecture, helping develop systems that are secure, efficient and built to perform at scale. You’ll further collaborate with product, research, automation and engineering teams to turn new ideas into production ready solutions. You’ll also have the freedom to explore new technologies and influence the way systems are designed and built across the wider platform.

You will bring strong backend development experience, ideally with languages such as Java or Go, alongside experience designing and building scalable applications. You'll be comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases and have a proven track record of developing reliable, production ready systems.

You’ll further bring a strong understanding of system design, software engineering principles and scalability, with the ability to approach technical challenges thoughtfully and contribute to well designed solutions. Hands on experience with CI pipelines, service level testing and monitoring is important, while React and TypeScript experience would be a bonus.
