Lead Platform Engineer

This could be the perfect role for you. This opportunity sits within one of the organisation's specialist business units, their Cloud Centre of Excellence. This team is home to some of the company's strongest engineers and is recognised internally for its commitment to engineering excellence, innovation and delivering best-in-class cloud solutions for a wide range of clients.

You will be a Lead Platform Engineer and act as a senior technical voice across engagements, influencing platform strategy, design decisions, and engineering standards. You’ll run technical workshops and design reviews with both client stakeholders and engineering teams, helping move things forward in a practical, hands-on way.

On the tech side you will be designing and evolving AWS cloud-native platforms that support business-critical applications. From Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines to containerisation, observability, and cloud platforms, you'll help build systems that are secure, scalable, and built to last. We're interested in engineers with experience across cloud environments and modern infrastructure tooling. You will be using AWS as a primary cloud platform and Azure or GCP may also pop up. The further parts of the tech stack includes Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and configuration management are also equally as important.
