AI Exchange March Ft. AWS, WeBuild-AI, and Sky
Ft. AWS, WeBuild-AI, Sky
Last night we gathered once again at the AWS Holborn office for the first AI Exchange of the year. It was a memorable night, with one of the largest turnouts we've hosted to date.
Thank you to everyone who came out, and for those who couldn’t make it, you’re in luck because we’ve made sure to record all three sessions.
Our first speaker, Amit Dhingra, explored the shift from AI assistants to autonomous AI agents and what this means for how businesses operate. In his talk, he explained how we have moved from chatbots in 2023, to copilots in 2025, and now towards autonomous agents in 2026 that can plan, decide and execute complete workflows independently. Drawing on real world examples from finance and retail, Amit showed how agentic AI is already being deployed in production and how it differs fundamentally from the AI tools many teams use today. He also touched on the implications for developers, technical professionals and business leaders as this shift accelerates, noting that while the transition to the internet took twenty years, the move towards agentic AI may happen in closer to twenty months.
Our second speaker, Kaitlin Brabec, Senior AI Engineer at WeBuild-AI, explored how to use AI to grow both personally and professionally while delivering high-quality work. Drawing on four years of experience delivering Generative and Agentic AI solutions to enterprise clients, Kaitlin shared practical examples from her own work, from software engineering and data engineering techniques to project management tasks. She highlighted the simple habits she has developed to leverage AI in a way that builds reusable knowledge and keeps her skills evolving over time. Kaitlin also shared how she stays up to date with the latest AI developments to continually refine her approach. Whether technical or not, her session offered practical tips for using AI effectively while balancing output quality and ongoing personal growth.
Our final speaker, Lisa Smisson, AI Delivery Manager at NBCUniversal and Sky, shared her personal journey into AI in a talk about how AI coding assistants are changing the way software is built. What began as a simple need to create illustrations for a story she wrote for her daughter quickly revealed the potential of AI when she produced the images in just a few hours using ChatGPT. From there, Lisa went on to explore building software with AI tools despite never having written a line of code. Through her 12 month journey, she highlighted what this shift means for software development and the key considerations organisations should keep in mind as they navigate AI transformation.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to our brilliant speakers, and to AWS for hosting us again.
Stay tuned for our announcement on the next AI Exchange, which will be held on March 24th at Dawn Capital. Details coming soon.
