Splunk Engineer

I have 2 Splunk roles which have just gone live for a large client of mine in the educational space.

They are looking for 2 contractors to come in on 12 month contracts, fully remote, paying £600pd. Both roles will very much overlap but have a slightly different focus, but both need someone with Splunk Cloud experience.

1 around Data Onboarding - Ensuring its the right data etc

1 around Project Engineering - Helping implementing Splunk Cloud on the backend

There will be a team of Splunk experts to work alongside. 2 Splunk experts (1 accredited), the other 2 in the team have good exposure also. Platform needs to be live by the end of the year so they want to hire by July at the latest. Some flexible working hours will be required very occasionally (to liaise with Australia, Sri Lanka, USA etc).

This is a fully greenfield project (have a SIEM implementation they are getting rid of).

Skills required:

• 3+ years' of experience working with a CSP IaaS and PaaS offerings
• 2+ years' experience working with Splunk, 4+ years' for a senior position, with experience in deploying Splunk in a complex globally distributed large scale deployment model
• Strong experience with SIEM API integration, including proficiency in making in API calls and data manipulation using python
• Current Splunk Enterprise Administration/Architecture Cloud certifications
• Technical knowledge of Cloud Orchestration/Deployment Solutions, such as Terraform, CFTs, Jenkins, Chef, GitLab, Bitbucket
