Linux Systems Administrator

This role is with a company that is a leading provider of managed web hosting services and have in the last few years gained a great reputation for the high quality delivery and client/customer service that they provide.

This includes over 4,500 clients and 400 servers. As a result of the recent growth experience in the market, they would like a Linux System Administrator to join the team.Your responsibilities will revolve around the core infrastructure where you will maintain the stability of their servers during high uptime and levels of service. You will also take the lead in system designs, making decisions with regards to technical implementations and have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior members. Furthermore, an element to the job will be liaising with stakeholders in order to understand particular project requirements.

This is a business with a flat structure where you will be granted the autonomy to work across all areas of the business in addition to those technical decisions.

As the “go to person” regarding all things Linux, this is a role in which you will hone in on your experience as well as picking up next technologies such as Ceph and cPanel. The working environment is office-based with the company located in the town of Chorley.
