Your Kafka and Prometheus experience in a DevOps role is required to join a brilliant company dedicated to ethical marketing practices, focusing on privacy, consent, and transparency. Their innovative platform empowers publishers and advertisers to activate audiences responsibly, while safeguarding personal data from third-party access.
In this DevOps role you will be joining the Core Cloud team, contributing to the development and enhancement of the automated, scalable, and observable event-driven platform. You'll be expected to be instrumental in the advancement of a culture of excellence in DevOps. There is a gap in the teams knowledge when it comes to Kafka and Prometheus, this is a gap you'll be expected to fill. Effectively you will be the bridge between the DevOps team and the Kafka team, essentially training and up-skilling the rest of the team on all things Kafka and Prometheus.
Key experience you'll need:
- Expert level experience working with Kafka
- Expert level experience working with Prometheus
- Extensive cloud experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Extensive commercial experience working with Kubernetes
- Passion for cloud-native technology, scalable data engineering, and stream processing
- Experience deploying and managing service mesh in production environments
It will also be a big plus if you come from a software development background, using any modern language. With that being said, if you're from an infrastructure background and you're still able to write clean idiomatic code using the likes of Go or Python etc, that will suffice.
