Are you a Senior Engineer/Manager looking for a new role?
Would you be keen on a role with coverage across hands-on and hands-off work (30% hands-on)?
A client of mine in the FinTech space are on the lookout for a Contract (then potentially permanent at a £120k salary) Head of Platform to come in and really take ownership and direct of their tech function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a world-class platform
- Provide thought leadership to the team
- Drive the adoption of modern practices in platform technologies and continuous delivery
- Raise the profile of the engineering as leaders in the tech community
- Conduct regular 121s with team members
- Raise the standard of engineering across the whole chapter
- Establish and embed the key architectural principles for the platform within the company
- Management of assigned risks in accordance with the risk management approach
- Adhere to all information security policies and procedures
Skills and Attributes:
- Expert knowledge of information security best practice highly desirable
- Expert knowledge of key technologies such as Linux, Containers, HTTP, IaaS, Serverless
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Leadership
- Excellent organisation/time management skills
- Able to communicate and/or present credibly and effectively at all levels
- Ability to manage significant organisational change
- Excellent stakeholder management, driving consensus
