A new product journey is about to begin, and it needs a thoughtful leader with a builder’s mindset and a good sense of humour.
A growing technology company is opening a new London hub and launching a product-led growth initiative from scratch. To lead it, they are hiring a Director, Product who is excited by blank pages, big ideas and the chance to create something meaningful from day one.
This role is all about helping smaller businesses discover a product, get started without friction, and quickly feel that “this just works” moment. The company has a strong history working with large organisations through traditional sales models. Now the focus is shifting towards self-service, freemium experiences and letting the product shine on its own.
You will sit at the centre of this transformation, working closely with engineers, designers and customers to shape the strategy and the details. You will spend time talking directly with users, testing assumptions and turning real feedback into elegant solutions. Curiosity, empathy and a willingness to get your hands dirty will take you a long way here.
A strong technical foundation is important. Many successful candidates for this role began their careers as engineers before moving into product leadership, and that background helps when working closely with technical teams and tackling complex challenges. You do not need to be the loudest voice in the room, but you should be confident navigating technical conversations and making thoughtful product decisions.
You will also build and lead a new product team, hiring great people, mentoring them and setting a clear, inspiring direction. It is a true mix of strategy, delivery and people leadership, with plenty of autonomy and trust.
This is a brand new role with real influence, flexible and competitive compensation and a leadership team that is ready to move quickly. Interviews will include in-person conversations in London alongside video calls with international colleagues.
If you enjoy building teams, love products that grow because users love them and are excited by the idea of shaping something new from the ground up, this could be a very satisfying next chapter.
