DevOps Exchange September - Fujitsu, Flagsmith, Aladdin Engineering
DevOps Exchange September
Join us on Wednesday, September 25th, for our upcoming London event, hosted by Aladdin Engineering. Aladdin is a tech platform that unifies the investment management process, leveraged by financial intuitions including asset managers, insurance companies, wealth managers, pensions and more.
**For this event, all RSVPs must be made via Eventbrite here**
First up, we welcome to the stage Neil Douek from Fujitsu, who will explore the evolution of DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering and the incredible products, solutions, and outcomes they've enabled. In his talk 'DevOps' Dirty Little Secret,' Neil will reveal how we can cut through inertia, reduce cognitive strain, and thrive in the AI-driven future.
Kyle Johnson from Flagsmith will then join us to discuss how feature flags are transforming release strategies and reducing dependence on development environments.
Lastly, we have Ali Noor from our hosts at Aladdin Engineering, who will delve tracing the journey from bare metal to deploying 10k Argo applications. The open-source contributions that opened up the capabilities for Aladdin’s cloud native platform, k8s and how we manage applications.
In our usual format, we have 3 x 20 minute talks which will start at 7:00pm.
Refreshments and drinks will be available on the night, courtesy of Aladdin Engineering!
Agenda:
7:00pm: Neil Douek, Product Owner @ Fujitsu
"DevOps Dirty Little Secret"
Through extrapolation, this talk recognises how the evolution of DevOps, SRE and Platform Engineering have produced amazing products, solutions, and outcomes. Our landscape now comprises a mammoth array of tools, languages, standards, and frameworks.
Assuming the contents of our toolbox continue to inflate at similar rates, will this impact our ability to deliver? Will entropy compound inertia? Will we be overwhelmed by complexity?
This is “DevOps’ Dirty Little Secret.” Drawing on the best of research and thought leadership, we examine how we could reduce inertia, cognitive strain, and complexity to succeed in the age of AI.
