DevOps Exchange June ft Google, Capgemini, Zuhlke Engineering

DevOps Exchange June
Last week marked our return to Zuhlke Engineering's Old Street headquarters as the DevOps Exchange hosted its fourth event at the venue, and once again, we welcomed a packed audience and lively atmosphere.
We heard from three expert speakers representing Google, Capgemini, and Zuhlke Engineering. Each brought a fresh perspective on how to build smarter, faster, and more collaborative systems in today’s evolving DevOps landscape.
Kicking things off, Ayelet Sachto (Google) shared practical strategies for maintaining resilience in systems long after initial deployment. Her talk focused on minimising customer disruption through rapid incident response, intelligent automation, and well calibrated alerting tied to SLOs. A blameless postmortem culture was also highlighted as vital for learning and long term improvement.

Next up, Ezhil Suresh (Capgemini) explored the critical role platform engineers play in enabling data and AI driven workloads. He highlighted the importance of integrating DevOps practices with data teams, navigating increasingly complex environments, and supporting a broad range of roles, from data scientists to compliance professionals. Success hinges on cultural change, inclusive communication, and platforms built on data quality, security, and adaptability. Ezhil urged engineers to understand business needs, tailor tools for varied users, and embrace continuous learning to thrive in the AI driven future.
Closing the evening, Immo Huneke (Zuhlke Engineering) introduced the audience to Cybernetic Delivery, Zuhlke’s AI powered approach to software development. Immo outlined how their integrated internal development platform streamlines the development process, reducing setup overhead and allowing engineers to focus on what they do best, writing great code.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to all of our incredible speakers, to Zuhlke for hosting, and to everyone who joined us.
Details of our next event will be announced via our Meetup group. Please ensure that you are subscribed to avoid missing out!
