Splunk Engineer

In this completely greenfield project you will be starting afresh, implementing the cloud platform. The client is mothballing their on-prem data and starting from the beginning again in Splunk Cloud, as a result, you'll need to have solid experience with Splunk Cloud.

You will be joining a team of Splunk focused Engineers. 2 Splunk experts (1 accredited) and the other 2 in the team have very strong exposure too.

The new cloud platform needs to be live by the end of the year so they want to hire ASAP. Some flex working hours will be required very occasionally (to liaise with Australia, Sri Lanka, USA etc), however, the role is fully remote for the duration (12 months initially).

The main experience you need to being is:

1. Carrying out the data onboarding, doing use cases and having a solid understanding of how to get right data into the cloud and exactly what to do with that data.
2. Carrying out the actual Splunk Cloud implementation on the backend.

Skills required:

• Proven experience working with a CSP IaaS and PaaS offerings.
• Expert experience working with Splunk; including experience deploying Splunk in a complex globally distributed large scale deployment model
• Strong experience with SIEM API integration, including proficiency in making in API calls and data manipulation using python.

Nice to have:

• Splunk Qualifications (especially Architect)
