Lead Python Engineer | Risk Modeling | Python, AWS | Up to £100,000 + bonus

Are you a Lead Python Engineer who would enjoy working in a small, specialist company who are disruping the world of Catastrophe Modeling?

Founded by two insurance veterans who were bored of a handful of companies monopolising the market - and charging insurers incredibly high fees to use their platform - these guys set out to use their knowledge and build something better, and give back to the industry.

Wholly funded by the industry it supports, and actively part of that community, these innovators are building a platform to allow their clients to calculate and build large statistical models used to ascertain catastrophic, real-life risk (think flooding, hurricanes, tsunami's etc.).

In a bid to better serve their clients and this industry, they now have received further funding to scale this platform over the next 2 years, and as part of this are hiring for a number of Mid, Senior and Lead Python developers.

What you'll need to have:
  • Strong knowledge of Python development at Senior/Lead level
  • Wider understanding of cloud infrastructure would be nice to have, specifically AWS and Azure
  • Experience with CI/CD ideal
  • Understanding of system architecture and design
  • Ability to define best practices across the team and pick the right tools for the job
  • A 'product driven' approach working towards a common goal across the team
  • Experience with C++ and risk systems a bonus
