You'll likely be reading this as a Senior, Lead, Staff or Principal level JavaScript Engineer with extensive knowledge of React looking to join a growing tech start-up at a critical time in their journey.

The idea is to build a platform that connects users across the globe to share knowledge and insights. Imagine a cross between Slack, Reddit and Wikipedia and you will be on the right lines.

Your role will be to own UI technologies, acting as the JavaScript and Front End expert for the company. This means hands on coding, but also working at a lead level to architect the UI, build the roadmap, choose the technologies, define best practices and approaches, and mentor in a specialised team. A fantastic chance to truly stamp your mark on a scaling, bleeding edge platform.

The tech stack is currently: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, GraphQL, Apollo, asynchronous data flows, React testing libraries, CSS and Gitlab. The back-end is written in Node.

As with all start-ups, I understand the people involved will be key. Both founders have very impressive backgrounds, one being coined "the youngest ever self-made tech millionaire", the other an Oxbridge graduate who worked at Facebook and Google. The people here are tried and tested, with a portfolio of highly successful tech start-ups behind them. On top of this, the company has just received extensive funding from very high profile investors.

The software development team includes a diverse range of top technologists from the likes of Amazon, Facebook, Stack Overflow, Paypal, various HealthTech companies like Babylon Health and other similar tech start-ups in this space.

Having worked these types of positions for 6+ years, I am confident it's the type of environment and culture most engineers look for.
