Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps (Ruby/Go)
Contract | £500 - £510 per day + FULLY REMOTE | Central London | City of London
In order to tackle these unique challenges you will need to write clean idiomatic code in Ruby/Go, as the majority of the problems you'll be solving will be fixed in Ruby/Go. BUT, you won't just be fixing the problem, you will be improving the product at every turn.
This, however, is not a Ruby/Go development role, rather a Site Reliability Engineering role, in the most modern sense. This means you will also have confidence in structural Terraform refactoring. As part of the Production Engineering team you will be working on the client's Infra as code, upgrading and assisting a significant refactor for performance and ease of use as well as working with their deployment tooling (written in Ruby/Go) to help mature its understanding of deployments from a single deployable infra to multiple instances. So the usual AWS, Docker, Infrastructure at scale is necessary, but with a very clear priority focus on confident Ruby/Go and strong Terraform.
The interview will be a Ruby/Go pair-coding exercise, followed by a discussion, going over your infrastructure experience, so you need to be tip-top on both fronts.
- Ruby / Go
