Permanent | £80000 - £120000.00 per annum + Additional Benefits | Greater London | London
Its is an opportunity to take all the DevOps and Cloud Engineering ability you have built up over the years, and use it to help enterprise companies implement, evolve and make the most of their DevOps focused environments.
Although DevOps is now very much mainstream, surprisingly, companies are still not quite getting it right. Its therefore an opportunity for you to use your business facing skills to understand a companies core requirements and objectives, and translate that into a technical solution. You're a talented engineer, but also have the ability to speak with senior stakeholders, the ability to talk about technical issues, with non technical people.
You'll already have all the experience necessary to be a success as a DevOps consultant. You'll have managed various internal stakeholders, or maybe you're already working in a consulting capacity. We're not looking for people religious and dogmatic about specific tools and technologies. Your mindset will be to use the right tool, for the right job. You'll understand AWS, GCP and potentially Azure, and you'll be happy and comfortable working on all three. If you don't have expertise across all of them, you'll get training and acreditation to get you up to speed.
You'll have the opportunity to work across Jenkins, Circle CI, Concourse and won't be afraid to pick up the next big CI tool. You'll understand how to build infrastructure as code and won't care if that's Terraform, Cloud Formation, or ARM. You'll love playing with Containers and of course Kubernetes excites you. No day will be the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work on multiple concurrent projects, rather than being confined to one environment or infrastructure.
It's a part of a company who have offices across the world, who turn over billions and who aren't lost on the importance of quality employees. This is why the focus is on you. Its in their best interests to ensure all engineers and consultants are highly trained and understand a breath of technology. There is therefore a huge emphasis on training and development. They have significant personal budget allocated to everyone, for specific upskilling and certification.
The projects are huge and the programmes immense. This consultancy are the largest partner to most DevOps and Cloud focused tooling, including being Europes biggest AWS and GCP partner. You'll have the opportunity to consult on some of the globes biggest DevOps and Cloud focused projects, from conception to completion and you'll work with some of the countries most talented engineers along the way.
The culture is built to give you the platform to be happy. The salary packages are designed to reward your experience. The benefits are there to be exactly that, benefits. Not just unachievable dangling carrots.
