Here's your chance to be part of an exciting new team within one of the UK’s most iconic brands. You’ll be working with infrastructure at scale, built for high-speed performance to meet ever-growing consumer demands. In this enterprise-level environment, uptime is critical—24/7 stability isn’t just a goal, it’s the foundation of the company’s success.
A new embedded model will see you exposed to differing challenges and technologies from project to project. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll tackle intricate problems in monitoring, automation, and capacity management, while crafting custom in-house tools to help each team thrive. You'll be the go-to person for solving engineering challenges across various technologies, ensuring seamless business operations.
You understand SLOs, SLAs and SLIs, and are comfortable with implementing them as they are required. DevOps is your passion, automation is your mantra, and you embrace the culture, staying on top of the latest industry trends. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, where you’ll work hand-in-hand with software developers, platform engineers, and the wider IT team.
The stack varies from team to team, so understanding the concepts is what is key here. You’ll know observability, monitoring, IAC, the cloud and some programming. What is broadly used is GCP, Terraform, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Golang and Erlang. Experience with these tools is a bonus and it is a chance to use them if you haven’t yet had the chance.
This is a hybrid position because teamwork, both within your department and across the company, has been proven to be key in driving technical success. You’ll enjoy a range of perks, including an above-average pension, free gym membership, and significant bonus. Plus, you'll get five weeks of leave plus bank holidays.
