Join an internationally renowned institute as it establishes a new High Performance Computing function to support world leading research. Your experience across HPC, Storage and GPUs will allow you to contribute to this innovative team building out a hybrid setup to power the future of the organisation.
You’re a specialist, ready to take high performance computing to that next level. In this role, you’ll be designing, scaling, and optimising a hybrid HPC environment that blends on-premise GPU systems with the power of AWS cloud. You’ll be central to driving performance, resilience, and innovation across both technology and the wider organisation.
You’ll join a team thinking about the future, with strong leadership, working in an environment that embraces DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD. With access to next generation hardware you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the way research computing is done, establishing the engineering that will power the next generation of the organisation. They will invest in you, providing training and access to senior engineers allowing you to soak up their knowledge.
You possess a solid foundation in HPC, around two to three years’ of production experience, and the confidence to work with Linux systems, clusters, and automation technology. Ideally you will have had exposure to parallel computing frameworks, GPU acceleration using CUDA or OpenCL, and workload schedulers such as Slurm, PBS, or HTCondor. Any familiarity with InfiniBand and hybrid cloud integration, particularly AWS, will be extremely beneficial.
This is your chance to join a team doing things differently, innovating from a blank playbook and driving forward change into the future.
