Engineering Manager - Hands on

A growing SaaS organisation is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to come in and lead a research and development team. Day to day you’d break and fix things, looking to ensure the best possible solution, architecture and engineering practices are implemented for long term growth of both the team and the company. You’ll focus on a new product, so experience of building products and product features is key here.

Tooling wise they’re focused on Golang, so you must be willing to code in Golang and ideally have done so before. Transferable skills within C++ or Python are good too. The work you do would be closely related to databases to experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases is key. You’re used to the cloud and have also worked with containers at various scales with different deployment methods.

Away from the technology you would also have experience of collaborating with multiple stakeholders with a desire to seek out and get the information that you need for success. The structure is flat so you’ll collaborate with the CTO and CEO frequently. You’ll ensure the documentation is done to a high standard, contribute to architectural decisions and drive forward innovative greenfield developments, to build great products.

You can work remotely across Europe, with visits to different European cities infrequently for collaboration. This is a chance to get involved in a scaling organisation, with the opportunity to get involved in different projects adapting to requirements - giving you a more diverse skill set.
