Data Operations Engineer - Barcelona

Following a recent Series B funding round, the business is expanding rapidly, investing heavily in automation and AI to drive efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.

As a Data Operations Engineer, you’ll sit at the crossroads of business, data, and technology, embedded in Finance but collaborating across the company. You’ll identify inefficiencies, map processes and data flows, and design end-to-end solutions that replace manual or complex workflows with scalable, automated, AI enabled systems. This could include workflow orchestration, APIs and webhooks, and data pipelines in Python, SQL, and dbt, all designed to support smarter decision-making at scale. You’ll be based in their Barcelona office, but the company also offers amazing flexibility, you can work up to 3 months remotely anywhere in the world.

• You'll have a process optimisation mindset, spotting inefficiencies and creating measurable efficiency gains.
• Motivated by solving real operational problems and delivering scalable, practical solutions.
• Strong experience with Python and SQL for automation, data pipelines, and integration.
• Hands on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks (dbt or similar) and workflow automation tools (Airflow, Make, n8n, Zapier).
