AI Exchange January - Snyk, HelixML, WeBuild-AI, Futuria.ai

AI Exchange

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the launch event for our brand new community - The AI Exchange, hosted by our good friends Snyk, in Euston.

We welcomed a full house as we enjoyed insightful talks from four pioneering companies in the world of Artificial Intelligence; HelixMLWeBuild-AIFuturia.ai and our hosts, Snyk.

First up on stage, we welcomed Nick Vinson from our hosts Snyk, who explored the key threats and security guardrails for LLMs. He broke these down into two main use cases: organisations consuming LLMs (mainly SaaS products) and those integrating LLMs directly into their own products. In his talk, he also examined the nature of these threats and discussed the security controls that can be implemented to protect against them.

Next up, Luke Marsden from HelixML delved into practical strategies for building Generative AI applications using open-source models and modern tools. He broke down the essential components of GenAI development, covering everything from model selection to knowledge and API integration, while emphasising the data privacy benefits of open-source solutions.

He also outlined the six fundamental building blocks of AI application development: models, prompts, knowledge, integration, testing, and deployment.

Diogo Sousa and Brendan Foxen from WeBuild-AI shared valuable insights on the lessons learned from building and deploying agent solutions for enterprise organisations. They took us through their current mission: developing a multi agent framework that seamlessly integrates with Autogen or LangGraph via both an API and a composable front end. We even got to see a live demo of the tools in action before they wrapped up with their thoughts on where this technology is headed in 2025.

Finally, Rob Price from Futuria explored Agentic AI, breaking down what it takes to design AI agent teams that seamlessly integrate into an organisation's operating model. He discussed the future of high performing hybrid teams and the balance between human and AI collaboration.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our first event such a success. The support and feedback that we have received since launching this community has been great.

Our next event is set to take place on the week of the February 24th (exact date to be confirmed soon). If you missed out on last night’s event, stay tuned. Our next announcement will be live on our Meetup page soon!

If you are interested in speaking, sponsoring or hosting a future event with us, please submit your details here.
