AI Exchange April ft. SkyScanner, AWS, Snyk

Join us on Wednesday 2nd April for the second AI Exchange event, hosted by AWS in their amazing Shoreditch office.

We welcome to the stage three companies that are shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence; Skyscanner, Snyk and our hosts at AWS.

Marcelo from Skyscanner will be diving into how AI driven personalisation depends on high quality data. Andrea, from our hosts AWS, will cover how organisations can break free from PoC purgatory, the common AI adoption trap where businesses struggle to move from experimentation to real life impact. Finally Joe from Snyk will then explore whether AI models, are as vulnerable to manipulation as humans.

"Cracking the AI adoption Paradox"

As GenAI presents unparalleled opportunities for innovation, capitalising on these is far from straightforward. Organisations often find themselves in a paradoxical situation, which is common when adopting new, disruptive technologies. They must invest in AI to understand its applied potential and decide on a course of action, yet they need a clear business case and roadmap before committing resources. As a result, most of AI project are stuck in the so-called ‘PoC purgatory’. How to overcome that?

This talk investigates whether AI language models, like the ones used in chatbots like ChatGPT, share the same vulnerabilities that make humans prone to manipulation. Focusing on AI security, it examines real-world examples of prompt injection attacks—where clever language tricks force an AI to reveal hidden information or act against its rules. The presentation draws clear parallels to common social engineering methods and shows how slight changes in phrasing can compromise an AI’s integrity and security.
