DevOps Exchange - Halloween Special ft. Netflix, Ziglu & CyberArk
Here at the DevOps Exchange, we have been very excited about Halloween - more specifically, our "DevOps Horror Stories" event which took place last night. Featuring three incredible speakers, including the return of DevOps Exchange cofounder David Gildeh, we gathered round to hear terrifying tales of security leaks, a failing BACS system and what happens if you don't have scalable architecture in place and suddenly find yourself with 20million new customers.
You can now view all the recordings from the event below:
We all know Netflix has become an essential service during the pandemic, but how does Netflix ensure that it all stays up and running for the millions of users that rely on it? David Gildeh will talk about the observability tools Netflix has developed internally to help its Engineers troubleshoot issues and continue serving its users reliably.
David Gildeh was the Founder of Outlyer, a cloud monitoring company, during which he helped start Doxlon the meet-up you’ve come to love for DevOps! Since the company was sold last year, he now resides in Silicon Valley and heads up the Telemetry platform team at Netflix.
